Despite being a small town, you’ll find that there’s something for everyone to enjoy in Manningtree. Visit the stunning coastline, venture into the woods or take a stroll through the nature reserve. Manningtree is rich in history with links to William Shakespeare, Margaret Thatcher and Matthew Hopkins the Witchfinder General. If you’re interested in finding out more about the history of the town, you might decide to embark on a walk inspired by the East Anglian witch trials. You’ll find that there are a few different ones available online for you to try.

Transport in Manningtree
Manningtree Train Station provides residents with excellent transport links as it is part of the Intercity Norwich to London Liverpool Street line and also has trains going to and from Ipswich and Harwich. Manningtree is also easily accessible by car with the A120, A12 and A14 being in relatively close proximity to the town.
