Oakheart Property Celebrates Random Acts of Kindness Day

Random Acts of Kindness Day focuses on celebrating acts of kindness, both large and small. According to an article published by The Guardian, Random Acts of Kindness day was ‘founded in 1995’ and aims to ‘make kindness the norm’. Here at Oakheart Property, we’re big on community and bringing people together. Each member of our team prides themselves on going above and beyond to ensure that our clients feel supported and receive exceptional service. We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support that we’ve received throughout our journey and feel passionate about giving back. So, getting involved in Random Acts of Kindness Day seemed like the natural choice for us. 

To mark the occasion, we came up with two different ideas. Our first idea focused on being kind to the planet and encouraging others to do the same. In case you missed it, we recently teamed up with Ecologi and have committed to planting a tree for every single house we sell. Oakheart has admired the work that Ecologi does for some time, as well as their mission to help businesses and people worldwide tackle climate change. We’re a business with nature at the heart of our brand and our furry friend Oakley and his team of property experts were keen to get involved. 

With this in mind, we decided to use Random Acts of Kindness Day to show some kindness to the planet. We planted 103 trees with Ecologi after running a successful campaign where we encouraged people to share our Instagram post, every share equaled a tree being planted. 

Secondly, we decided that it was important to celebrate our local community and encouraged members of our Instagram community to get involved once again! We asked our followers to nominate someone to receive a free Starbucks gift voucher. After all, sometimes a cup of tea, a strong coffee or a delicious hot chocolate (no judgement here) is exactly what you need to get through the day. We’re pleased to say that we ended up giving away £80 worth of coffee to 8 lucky nominees!

 

Our entire team had a brilliant time marking Random Acts of Kindness Day! Celebrating our wonderful clients, followers and all those who have supported us is incredibly important to us.
