Oakheart Property raise a record-breaking amount of money for charity

The team at Oakheart Property were pleased to take part in an annual charity event organised by Colchester Round Table and raised a record-breaking amount of money. As proud sponsors of the Prettygate route, we originally pledged to raise £300 for The Robin Cancer Trust, but after getting involved in the festive fun and knocking on every single door in Prettygate, we managed to raise an additional £1030.68. Bringing our total donation to a tremendous £1330.68! This is a new record for the annual event and will be used to support The Robin Cancer Trust with a portion of the money raised going to help Colchester Round Table continue the great work they do. 

Colchester Round Table is a Colchester based charity who support local causes and charities. Every year, Colchester Round Table organises Christmas collections which involve a sleigh, Santa and cheesy Christmas tunes! There are a number of different routes and each route is supported by a sponsor. We were honoured to be asked to sponsor the Prettygate route! With a branch in the area, the estate agency feels a strong connection to members of their local community.

James Kew, from Kew Law, who runs Colchester Round Table organised the annual event. The event allows each sponsor to nominate a Colchester-based charity of their choice. We decided to raise money for The Robin Cancer Trust, this fantastic charity raises crucial funds with the aim of preventing young adults from dying of germ cell cancer. Their vision is to reach every young person in the UK with their life-saving cancer campaigns by 2024. 

The Oakheart team truly embraced being Santa’s helpers and ensured that we were all dressed the part too! With members of the team sporting their best Christmas jumpers, Santa hats and even full elf costumes, the evening was a thorough success.
